No MVR Group Run on Monday, April 30, 2018

Happy Friday everyone!!

I wanted to get the word out early that there will not be a Mad Valley Runners group run on Monday, April 30, 2018.

We will resume on Wednesday; the plan is to return to the Mad Path for this run.

The run on Wednesday was wet but I saw smiles the entire time. Have a wonderful weekend! 

4/25/18 - Old County Road to Old Center Fayston Road Loop

Twenty runners and seven coaches "braved" the rain for an excellent afternoon run. We ended with "silent dodge ball" or frisbee as well as a special treat from the vactioning Joe Robinson.

Monday 4/23/2018 - Run along Mad Path

What an incredible day to get out on the trail and just RUN!! There were 22 student runners, one Junior Running Coach and six adults for our outing (biggest EVER)!! Woot Woot

MVR Group Run Plan for Monday, April 23, 2018

Good morning!  Is there a better way to come back to school than a warm, cloud free spring day!

Joe and I are excited to get back on the trail and run with the group after our week off. 

The runners will be boarding the "Fayston" School Bus (#13) at approximately 2:35 p.m. and will be dropped off at Small Dog. Joe will meet the runners and we will put their "stuff" in our cars and begin running by 2:50 p.m. We will finish our run at approximately 3:55 p.m. 

Pick up is at the Mad Path Trail Head just off of Meadow Road (below Small Dog) at 4:00 p.m. 

NOTE: Water/snacks will be available if the runners do not have something from home.

MVR Runners are back for 2018

We are excited to report that the Mad Valley Runners are back and have the biggest group ever!!

We have 24 runners this year, the is nearly 25% of all eligible students in grades 3 through 6 here at Waitsfield.

As an added bonus, Ms. Hale has prepared a map of Vermont that will allow the running to plot their miles, with the goal of running through the entire state from South to North by June 2, 2018. The runners will keep track of miles run and then "leap frog" across the state. Progress on the map will be tracked on our blog.
